On June 9, 2025, the Vaughan Multicultural Community Association (VMCA) hosted a lively mobile short video class filled with storytelling and delicious creativity. The session brought together eager participants ready to learn new skills and share memorable moments.
A special highlight was participant Qin, who surprised everyone by bringing freshly made green rice balls (青团). Curious about how to best capture their beauty on camera, Qin sought guidance from Teacher Li. With patience and clear tips, Teacher Li demonstrated the importance of thoughtful framing, using natural light, and focusing on details that make food look as irresistible on screen as it tastes in person.
After the mini filming workshop, Qin generously shared her treats and even offered a hands-on tutorial, turning the class into a warm, interactive experience that went beyond the screen.
Meanwhile, many participants were fascinated by the handheld camera stabilizer (gimbal) that Teacher Li introduced. This tool helps create smooth and professional-looking videos, making it easier for everyone to produce polished mobile footage.
