On May 12, 2025, the Vaughan Multicultural Community Association (VMCA) welcomed spring with a cheerful and hands-on session of Creative Handcraft paired with a cozy Tea & Cake Celebration.
Led by Heather, the handcraft class introduced participants to basic knitting techniques. Everyone started from the very first step—casting on stitches—and quickly picked up the rhythm. Many participants were trying knitting for the first time, yet they showed great focus and impressive results. Their enthusiasm filled the room with energy and creativity, setting the tone for a season of learning and fun.
After the class, everyone gathered to enjoy delicious cakes and freshly brewed tea. The relaxed tea time gave participants a chance to chat, share stories, and deepen connections in a warm and welcoming space.
