On May 12, 2025, VMCA’s Gardening and Floral Arrangement class brought together indoor floral design and outdoor gardening education, creating a unique hands-on experience for participants.
Guided by an experienced gardening instructor, participants learned foundational knowledge about growing vegetables, caring for plants, and exploring both Western and Eastern floral arrangement styles. The goal of the program is to help participants appreciate the therapeutic beauty of plants throughout the seasons.
To celebrate Mother’s Day, Heather led a special session on two floral styles: the triangle-shaped arrangement and the waterfall-style bouquet. With her guidance and encouragement, participants created beautiful, vibrant arrangements that reflected both creativity and love.
This floral-focused day not only taught practical skills but also filled the room with color, joy, and heartfelt appreciation—making it a perfect way to welcome spring and honor mothers in our community.
