VMCA Hosts a Joyful and Creative Community Party on July 14

On the morning of July 14, 2025, the Vaughan Multicultural Community Association (VMCA) held its second large community party at 9500 Dufferin Street, building on the success of the first gathering with even greater energy and enthusiasm.

With strong support from Teacher Ali and Tea Art Teacher Zhang, the event promised a rich and welcoming experience—and it certainly delivered. The community’s excitement was clear from the start, as sign-ups quickly filled the roster and inspired the organizing team to prepare a truly memorable day.

A special thanks goes to Teacher Heather, who went above and beyond by rising early to bake beautiful and delicious cakes, delighting all attendees. Her dedication was visible not only in the taste but also in the elegant presentation of her treats.

Volunteers arrived early to set up the venue, including creating a helpful video guide for first-time visitors to navigate the school entrance smoothly—big thanks to the Vaughan Multicultural Community Centre group for sharing the information widely. Teacher Bi took charge of organizing the space, and together with Teachers Ali and Heather, ensured the environment was warm, orderly, and inviting. Meanwhile, Tea Art Teacher Zhang’s serene presence set a calm and positive tone for the day.

Among the many highlights, Teacher Ali’s knitting session stood out as a lively and joyful hub. Several participants quickly gathered around her table, where her expert guidance encouraged both beginners and experienced crafters. The knitting corner buzzed with creativity, lively discussion, and shared learning—a true testament to community spirit in action.

At the same time, Teacher Heather generously shared her baking skills, inviting attendees to take photos and learn techniques. Her openness inspired many, showing the power of sharing passion and knowledge within the community.

During the sharing session, everyone enjoyed Teacher Heather’s freshly baked cakes and refreshing watermelon, engaging in warm conversations and reconnecting with friends both new and old. A special mention goes to Xiao Qin, whose homemade chocolate pudding was a delightful surprise—sweet yet light, leaving a lasting impression, even if the moment slipped away without a photo!

The event closed with a group photo capturing smiles and memories, marking a beautiful moment of togetherness.
