On the morning of June 30, 2025, the Vaughan Multicultural Community Association (VMCA) hosted a peaceful and hands-on Floral Arrangement Workshop at the community centre located at 9500 Dufferin Street. Led by the warm and experienced Instructor Heather, the event invited community members to explore the harmony of nature, creativity, and emotion through floral design.
Participants arrived on time and fully engaged in the session. The pace of the class was gentle and encouraging, allowing everyone to learn comfortably. Heather shared practical flower arranging techniques and inspired the group to trust their instincts and express personal aesthetics. The room was filled with quiet focus and joy as attendees thoughtfully selected and arranged their floral materials.
Special thanks go to Mrs. Shao Yuling, who supported the workshop behind the scenes and impressed others with her own floral composition. Annie was the first to complete her design, showcasing an impressive sense of structure and balance that received much admiration.
Beyond the craft itself, the workshop became a space of gratitude, kindness, and community care. In the group chat afterwards, participants shared their heartfelt appreciation. One member even gifted her finished arrangement to another—an unexpected act that touched everyone. Xiaoqin also kindly brought purple perilla seedlings to share with the group, adding a fragrant and symbolic gesture of growth.
