Today’s Senior Inclusion class was full of excitement and creativity as our participants explored the world of video editing—using nothing but their smartphones and the CapCut app.
With Ms. Bi’s patient guidance, everyone learned how to turn simple video clips into personal stories through hands-on practice.
Here’s what they learned:
- Cut and trim clips – remove unwanted parts and keep only the best moments
- Add background music – bring energy and emotion to each video
- Adjust volume and apply fade-outs – for smooth, professional audio transitions
- Add sound effects – like applause, whooshes, or fun clicks to enhance storytelling
- Record voiceovers – so each senior could narrate their own video in their own voice
By the end of the session, the room was filled with smiles and laughter as everyone proudly shared their creations. Each short video was a meaningful reflection of their creativity and personality.
This class wasn’t just about learning an app—it was about self-expression, connection, and confidence in the digital world.
With just a phone and a little support, our seniors are proving that it’s never too late to learn something new—and have fun doing it!
